Core Device CAL Suite (Includes Software Assurance)
The Core Device CAL Suite is a set of device CALs ( client access licenses) for key Microsoft server technologies: Windows Server, Exchange Server, SharePoint Server, and System Center Configuration Manager.
One Core Device CAL Suite gives one computer or other device access to these servers regardless of the number of users, with the exception of System Center Configuration Manager. The System Center Configuration Manager device CML (client management license) allows any number of nonserver operating system environments (OSEs) on a device to be managed by System Center Configuration Manager.
The Core Device CAL Suite contains the following licenses:
- Windows Server Device CAL
- Exchange Server Device CAL - Standard
- SharePoint Server Standard Edition Device CAL
- System Center Configuration Manager Device CML
User CALs are also available. A user CAL gives one user access to these servers on any number of computers and other devices.
License Only: This license does not require media, license keys, or setup codes.
Software Assurance: Under the Software Assurance program, you have the right to install any new release of products covered in the agreement during the term of your coverage.
